Green-Up Volunteer Weekend on June 6-7

Join the Board of Directors for plant debris removal and shrub pruning around the Clubhouse to improve the wildfire resilience and appearance of our facility.

The Green-Up party will start at 9 am on Saturday, June 6 and continue on Sunday, May 7 at 9 am if the work is not complete. If weather interferes, we will reconvene on June 27-28 at the same times.

Bring a rake!

Contributing as a little as 1 hour anytime during the Green-Up party would help us complete the project.

Why are we calling for volunteers?

The Board of Directors applied in May to Boulder’s Wildfire Resilience Assistance Program (WRAP) for a cost rebate to complete the substantial facility improvements recommended in the Club’s Detailed Home Assessment (DHA), conducted in 2025 by the Boulder Fire Department. Among other improvements, a successful application would allow us to replace the Clubhouse wood siding, fascia, soffits, and cabinet doors with nonflammable (Hardie) material. Our application will be competitively reviewed by Boulder WRAP and affiliated staff.

The Green-Up party will address non-reimbursable recommendations of the DHA and demonstrate to WRAP administrators that our Club members are serious about wildfire resilience.

Notes:

  • We are waiting on our WRAP application decision before painting the concrete below the existing brown siding because the color of new siding may be different.

  • The WRAP has separate rebate programs for individual homeowners and HOAs. All resident members and some nonresident members (depending on your location in the Wildland Urban Interfacehttps://bouldercolorado.gov/wildland-urban-interface-code) are eligible for the individual rebate program which covers up to $2000 of the cost of improving the wildfire resilience of your property. You must first obtain a free DHA as described in the notice https://bouldercolorado.gov/WRAP.
